Group Managing Director
Mike is Managing Director of the Big Red Industries Group. Graduating the University of Huddersfield with a Business Degree, Mike moved on to work with world renowned companies – L’Oreal and Reckitt Benckiser. After gaining invaluable experience and learning the best processes, Mike started the Big Red Industries Group.
Looking to the future, Mike is excited about continuing to deliver fantastic projects for our growing client base.
Group Finance Director
Lucy Pennington-North is the Finance Director of Big Red Industries Group. With many years finance experience, four of those being in the Construction industry, Lucy joined the Big Red team in 2018 after previously working at ISG Construction. In the time Lucy has been at Big Red, she has brought a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Group and has grown and developed the finance department, now managing a strong team of individuals.
Group Operations Director
Following on from a successful career in professional sport, Greg moved into manufacturing working for Morrisons Manufacturing in multiple sites over a seven year period. Greg started in shop floor roles, progressed through multiple promotions, and finished his time there as a Production Manager with a degree in Business Management. Greg then moved on to Reckitt in Hull where he was an operations manager and continued his progression to becoming Interim Site Lead. By the end of his 6 year stint he was running a £7 billion turnover operation with more than 650 employees, reporting directly to the European Supply Director. Most recently Greg was with Greencore food in Selby where he assumed the Operations controller position, running all operational functions of the business, reporting in to the Supply Director.
Group Commercial Director
Ian has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry and joined Big Red in July 2021 after working for various Northwest-based construction, maintenance, and development companies with an extensive commercial background within a wide range of sectors and projects. He is responsible for the commercial and procurement functions of the business.
He believes that construction doesn’t have to be the stereotypical industry it is renowned to be, instead believing that all members of the project and delivery team can work collaboratively to achieve a mutually beneficial and cost-effective way of delivering a scheme from inception through to completion and beyond, building relationships and repeat business with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
